ACTIVE BROADBAND NETWORKS AND PERFTECH PARTNER TO PROVIDE ISPS A SOLUTION FOR TRANSPARENT, USAGE-BASED BANDWIDTH MANAGEMENT

(San Antonio, TX, and Framingham, MA, August 2, 2011) – PerfTech, a leading supplier of in-browser converged messaging, and Active Broadband Networks, a leading supplier of broadband resource management platforms, announce an integrated solution available to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that effectively informs subscribers of usage-based and usage-managed services. Keeping subscribers engaged regarding their accounts consumption and usage impact enables them to make timely choices regarding their service options—choices that result in more control over their Internet experience and cost. The integration combines Active Broadband Network's systems for broadband network management with PerfTech's Bulletin System communications platform, resulting in a comprehensive solution that facilitates the current transition by many ISPs into consumption-based business models.

"Feedback from ISPs who have deployed usage-based Internet tiers has confirmed that two factors are key to success: accurate usage measurement and quick, proactive notifications. With so many ISPs now migrating to usage-based service plans," said Jane Christ, PerfTech Sales VP, "it only makes sense to collaborate with Active Broadband and provide an integrated solution that automates these essential functions."

"Effective communication with Subscribers is a key element in maintaining customer satisfaction when deploying usage-based and usage-managed services," said Eliot Listman, Active Broadband Networks VP Sales, adding "Combining our platform with PerfTech enables customers to visualize and participate in the management of their service."
