Current Opportunities.

Software Engineer

Location:  Framingham MA

RESPONSIBILITIES. Your will be responsible for contributing to the design, developing, enhancing and maintaining web based mission critical software. The candidate must be motivated to apply software engineering techniques to build robust, portable and scalable software using latest web technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS. You must be comfortable with development and deployment in a Linux environment and be proficient in one or more of the following languages and technologies: Java (J2SE), Servlets, JavaScript. You must be comfortable with SQL and database programming. A computer science Degree or equivalent, with a MS preferred. A self motivated person with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Principal Software Engineer

Location: Framingham, MA

OPPORTUNITY. Are you ready to learn and be involved in highly scalable, high performance systems using noSQL database and pushing the limits on the current technologies. At ABN you will have challenging assignments exposing you to latest technologies in database, WEB and JAVA environments. RESPONSIBILITIES. The Principal Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the design, developing, enhancing and maintaining web based mission critical software.The candidate must be motivated to apply software engineering techniques to build robust, portable and scalable software using the latest web technologies. Candidate must have strong technical abilities in developing high transaction rate complex software systems.

QUALIFICATIONS. Candidate must be comfortable with development in a linux environment. Must be proficient in one or more of the following languages and technologies: Java (J2SE), Servlets or Javascript and be comfortable with programming to databases. A Computer Science Degree required with a Masters Degree preferred. An understanding of the software development process. A self motivated person with strong verbal and written communication skills is a must.

Senior Customer & Systems Engineer.

Location: Framingham, MA

RESPONSIBILITIES. The Customer Engineer will be a member of the team responsible for all aspects of our technical customer relationships including, Pre-sales, Post-sales and Professional Services. Duties Include:

  • Solving complex designs
  • Ownership in solving customers complex operational challenges
  • Technical communications with the customer
  • Mentoring others on the team

QUALIFICATIONS. Candidate must have previous experience in a customer facing technical role.  Experience in Service Provider network design and/or operation and an operating knowledge of the processes of delivering Customer Service to Service Providers.  Desired Skills:

  • Strong Linux System Engineering
  • Understanding of complex data networks
  • Experience with Service Provider Routers & Switches
  • Understanding of Broadband Access Technologies including DOCSIS 2.0/3.0 and xDSL
  • Familiarity and interest in current & emerging database technologis

Account Director.

Location:  East Coast, US

RESPONSIBILITIES. Manage and coordinate the entire sales process, including opportunity identification and development to closing. Presentation of technical and business solutions to partners and support of their end user prospects and customers as part of the sales process. Sales on Direct and via our existing and potential partners. Development of strategic and tactical plans to succeed in achieving short term and long term sales and business goals of the company via combination of direct and indirect sales models. Primary management responsibility for the customer relationship and the key point of contact between the customer and ABN. Regular updating of ABN reporting system to manage and monitor accounts. Ensuring individual quarterly and annual business bookings objectives and company sales targets are met and or exceeded.

QUALIFICATIONS.  Four year college degree or equivalent of 5 plus years in the cable industry. Excellent oral/written and interpersonal skills. Successful sales track record in direct sales environment with cable experience preferred. Familiarity with data networks and services, especially cable. Excellent network of contacts and relationships within major MSO’s (Tier 1 and Tier 2). Experience in developing account plan creation and execution and strong closing skills. A high energy individual with a true entrepreneurial spirit and passion for a fast paced dynamic environment.

Regional Sales Director, EMEA

Location: London UK

OPPORTUNITY.  We have established a “beach head” with a leading European Operator.  We are looking for an energetic Sale Director to take that opportunity to convert an existing identified pipeline of business in Europe and develop new opportunities.  Active Broadband Networks is revolutionizing how Broadband Services are delivered to Subscribers.  Our system transforms existing broadband networks infrastructures to deliver dynamically managed subscriber based usage managed and usage based services, but more importantly provide the capabilities to increase opportunities and alternatives to both monetize services and increase the frequency of transacting with Subscribers while avoiding the complexity of existing billing systems. As our first Sales professional in Europe, you will have the opportunity to build both a business and team capable to working with the world leading Broadband Provider and our partners.   We have already invested in developing opportunity in Europe so you will “hit the ground” with existing transactions and opportunities already underway.

WHAT WE NEED. We need you to manage and coordinate the entire sales process, including opportunity identification and development to closing. A Successful sales track record in Telecom, pursing both direct and indirect opportunities.  An understanding of the business of delivering Broadband Services with experience in Cable a definite plus.

Customer & System Engineering Manager - EMEA

Location: London, UK

OPPORTUNITY.  Our customer base is growing in Europe, we have secured one of the regions largest operators as a customer of our unique Subscriber Service Control platform and we have a number of other opportunities we are actively pursing.   We are looking for an energetic, experienced technical manager that doesn't mind getting their hand dirty as well help establish our new European office in the UK.   Active Broadband Networks ins revolutionizing how Broadband Services are delivered to Subscribers.  Our system consists of multiple platforms that provide Subscriber Data Manager, Policy, Traffic & Service Management applications with integrated Subscriber Communications, Subscriber Self Service Management and Transaction processing.   Our unique platform is proven at scale at the largest operators and is built using leading edge technologies such as noSQL.

As our first Engineering professional in Europe, you will have the opportunity to both build a team capable of meeting the needs of the worlds largest Broadband providers and work with our Chief Technology Officer to ensure that our products meet unique requirements for the region.  You will be busy from the start, helping our partner manage the technical relationship of our existing accounts and driving trials support opportunities we have already invested in identifying.

WHAT WE NEED.  We need you to manage and coordinate the technical relationship with the customer.  To do this you will need 5+ years experience in a similar role working for a vendor that offers solutions to Broadband Providers.  Importantly you need proven success in solving complex technical and operational changes.   From a technical perspective, Linux System Engineering, complex network design, familiarity with current and emerging database technologies, experience with Service Provider Switches, Routers and Access technologies are required.  Experience with DOCSIS is a definite plus. The ability to translate complex problems into simple communications is a key skill that we pursue, combined with excellent written skills and an appetite to learn new technologies and skills.  

 

Marketing Manager

Location: Framingham, MA

OPPORTUNITY.  Its time for us to spread the word of our success, so we are undertaking a significant marketing campaign during 2012 and we need help.   We are looking for an energetic, experienced Marketing Manager to join our team.  Active Broadband Networks is revolutionizing how Broadband Services are delivered to Subscribers and during 2012 we will make groundbreaking product announcements, demonstrate new unique technologies and highlight our successes at some of the worlds largest broadband providers.

Although we were founded in 2005, we have undertaken very little marketing.  As Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects including PR, Branding, Web Communications, Tradeshows, and Content development.  You will be busy from the start as we march towards key events this year.  

WHAT WE NEED.We need you to coordinate and contribute to our Marketing Programs.  To do this you will need 3+ years experience in a marketing capacity at a technology vendor and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism.  You need to have excellent written and presentation development skills.  Previous PR experience would also be valuable.  Most importantly, the we need an enthusiastic, self-starter with an interest in technology and the ability to achieve results.
